Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders will now be required to get their document re-issued only once at the age of 20 instead of multiple times needed to be done currently.
People of Indian origin and Indian diaspora having overseas citizens of India (OCI) card are now not required to carry their old, expired passports for travel to India, as required earlier, according to a statement.
The Union Home Ministry said all OCI, PIO card-holders and all other foreign nationals intending to visit India for any purpose, except on a Tourist visa, are permitted to enter by air.
