  Langate Assembly Election: Independent candidate Khursheed Ahmad Sheikh won the Langate seat, defeating JKPC candidate Irfan Sultan Pandithpuri by a margin of 1,602 votes. The Langate constituency in Jammu and Kashmir went to the polls in the third phase on October 1.
