  A PIL has been filed in Gujarat High Court, seeking direction to the state government not to suppress the "real cause" of death of lions in Sasan Gir, the only abode of Asiatic lions in the world.

  Gujarat: 14 lions captured in Gir forest, after cubs fall ill

  At least 14 lions were captured from Gujarat's Gir Wildlife Sanctuary and shifted to Jasadhar care centre in the forest, after some cubs in a pride fell ill, a senior official from the state forest department said on Tuesday.

  Animal ambulance rescues two-month-old ailing lion cub from Gir forest in Gujarat

  The hi-tech lion-ambulance, which was rescued from Gir forest was launched last month after the visit of Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani to the Gir Sanctuary. It was launched for the rescue and treatment of endangered Asiatic lions and other wild animals of the Gir forest.
