Dileep is now out on bail after languishing in a Kerala jail for 85 days.

Dileep is an accused in the February 2017 actress kidnapping case which took place in Kochi, that landed him in a Kerala jail for 85 days.

The Women in Cinema Collective (WCC), irked by AMMA's decision to revoke the suspension of Dileep who is an accused in the actress kidnapping case, had put out a Facebook post on Monday.
Actor Dileep is accused of playing a role in the conspiracy to abduct the young actress in February 2017 when she was on her way to Kochi from her house. He spent 85 days in jail before securing bail.
Dileep's former wife Manju Warrier is one of the witnesses in the case.
The Angamaly Magistrate court refused to hand over the video on the grounds that it could be misused and the privacy of the actress had to be protected.
Dileep was arrested on July 10, 2017 and after 85 days in jail, he got conditional bail.
The actress, who has worked in Tamil and Telugu films, was abducted and allegedly molested inside her car for two hours by the accused on February 17.
The Kerala High Court on Tuesday permitted Malayalam superstar Dileep, currently out on bail in a case involving kidnapping and sexual assault of an actress in February, to travel to Dubai.

The maker of Malayalam film Ramaleela Arun Gopy, is quite happy with the positive response of his film, which featured actor Dileep.
The Malayalam actress abduction took place in February when the actress was on her way from Thrissur to Kochi.
Ram Leela is Dileep's first film to be released since his arrest. Across the state, the audience comprised his fans, with his traditional audience - families and women - keeping away for obvious reasons.
Dileep was arrested on July 10 for alleged involvement in the conspiracy behind the kidnapping of the actress.
Counsel for Dileep argued that the police was basing the entire investigation on the statements of prime accused in the case Pulsar Suni and said "it appears that he (Suni) is like God to the police probe team"
Dileep has been questioned twice and was arrested soon after the second round of interrogation on July 10. Since then he has been languishing in the Aluva sub-jail.
