1. Dying of Duk Koo Kim



A high profile in Columbia, Kim had risen completely towards the primary lightweight contender and acquired a worldwide title shot in the famous Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini, on November 13, 1982.



The bout was very brutal, particularly for Kim, who had began to use lower inside the latter models after absorbing tremendous punishment within the champion.

At the begining of part of the 14th round, Mancini hit Kim getting a crushing right hands that triggered him to fly toward the ropes striking his mind round the canvas.

Kim handled to improve nevertheless the fight was stopped with the referee.

Tragically, the Korean star died 4 days later from severe brain trauma.
