Noida, Jun 18 : Noida police have arrested two servants for the theft of Rs 65 lakh worth valuables and cash from the house of a lady who is the sister of an industrialist, police said.

Vinod Kumari Gupta, sister of Ajay Gupta, owner of DS Group, makers of Rajnigandha pan masala, had gone to Shimla on a summer holiday on Jun 14 with her family.

When she returned on June 17 night, she found Rs 60 lakhs worth ornaments and Rs 5 lakh cash missing from her house D-78, Sector 26, Noida. The house is a few metres away from Nithari police outpost.

In a swift operation, police nabbed  maid servant Anjali, who had left the job a few days back, and another servant Satish, who had jointly planned the burglary, police said.

Police have seized the valuable and cash from both the servants. SP City Noida Anant Dev said, the house owner had  not done the servants' verification with the police.

Thieves struck at the house of a private company executive in sector 26 here and decamped with cash and jewellery worth about Rs 65 lakh, police said today.

The victim Kamal Bansal has lodged a theft case at sector 20 police station.

The family members had gone on a holiday trip to Mussourie. On return the theft was detected.
