Bangalore: Bangalore outshined others in Nasa's Space Settlement Contest-2014 as three projects by its students have bagged worldwide prize .
These students belong to Chaitanya Techno School.
‘Vishwambhara' project by S Sai Chandana and ‘HAMS (Human Aeronautical Mission for Space Settlement)' by C Raju, V S Vikhyath, G Janardhan, LP Nandan and MD Hussain has won the first prize worldwide.
‘Dhruv Antariksh' by G Rutwik, ‘Phoenix' by V Dushyanth, ‘Terrestrial Twin' by Vamsi Krishna, ‘NEA ZOI' by Ayush Basavesh and R Jyothi Kishore, and ‘Path To The Future' by B Rajith, G Jaya Teja and N Srilalith has secured second prize.
‘DIONYSUS' by N Vijay Susjeel and P Nikhil, ‘Twin Earth' by Shanmukha Priya and VSR Varun, and ‘Upagaya' by Akanksh, Preethish and Rohit Reddy won the third prizes.
In all, Chaitanya Techno School has bagged a record 13 prizes, won by 55 students.
The contests had over 1,000 global entries,out of which 84 projects have secured prizes and a total of 55 projects were selected from India.
The winning teams will go to Los Angeles to receive the awards and will get a chance to participate in a Nasa seminar.
