Congress president Rahul Gandhi, who is currently on a pilgrimage to Kailash Mansarovar, is likely to visit Dubai next month, highly placed sourced in the party said on Saturday.
Upon returning from Kailash Mansarovar, Rahul will be get into the election mode campaigning for Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. Sources said Rahul will take a couple of days out from his campaigning schedule for Middle East tour. Rahul Gandhi had recently visited the United States, Germany and the UK. The top Congress leader has been using his foreign trips to target the Narendra Modi government over a range of issues.

Rahul Gandhi is expected to address the Indian diaspora during his visit to Dubai and the Congress is said to have already started preparations to make the event successful. The Congress is reportedly hunting to book a stadium having capacity of at least 50,000 people. There are about 34 lakh people of Indian origin in Dubai. As per the plan, the Congress hopes to showcase a jam-packed stadium as evidence of Rahul Gandhi's popularity among the Indians in the region.
Sources said Congress is trying to book Sharjah cricket stadium for Rahul Gandhi's 'Modi-like' event. PM Modi had addressed a huge gathering at Dubai Opera House in February this year.
