Salman Khan’s home production Love Yatri (introducing his brother-in-law Ayush Sharma along with newcomer Warina Hussain) went head-to-head with Ayushmann Khurrana starrer AndhaDhun at the box-office this week. “Loveyatri is a poor fair as it failed to show much growth on Saturday. The film has collected 2 crore nett on day two and is not going anywhere at the box office. The collections of Loveyatri till date are as follows. Friday - 1,90,00,000, Saturday - 2,10,00,000. TOTAL - 4,00,00,000”, according to a Box Office India report.
While Love Yatri failed to garner much-needed appreciation, Andhadhun received a lot of accolades. The film has been highly praised for its unique narration and excellent performances.
Considering the current trend, Andhadhun is likely to witness even better growth in its collection on Sunday.
LoveYatri is amongst one of the most controversial films of the year. From the controversy about the movie's name to a case being filed against the cast and crew, the flick has been in the limelight ever since its announcement.
The Aayush Sharma-starrer will be facing competition at the box office as well as it has been released against Aayushmann Khurrana, Radhika Apte and Tabu's AndhaDhun. The movie has received a lot of critical appreciation.
The movie is a simple love story minus any major conflict. However, the movie has got mixed responses from the critics. Some have praised it for its simplicity while others have outrightly rejected it.
