New Delhi: US smartphone brand InFocus has launched a new mid-range smartphone, the M2, in India at a very competitive Rs 4,999 exclusively on Snapdeal.com.
Manufactured by Foxconn, the world's largest Original equipment mobile phone manufacturer, the phone offers a 4.2-inch WXGA (1280 x 768p) at 355 ppi.
It is a dual-SIM device (both Micro-SIMs) and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of built-in storage and is expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB). InFocus M2 features InLife UI on top of Android 4.4 KitKat.
The highlight of the InFocus M2 smartphone is it sports 8-megapixel front and rear cameras. Both the cameras are accompanied by an LED flash. The rear camera features a backside-illuminated (BSI) sensor and also includes options such as exposure compensation, continuous shots, scene setting, white balance, face recognition, beauty shot and photo enhancer.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, and 3G. The smartphone packs a 2010mAh non-removable battery. It features a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor; G-sensor, and an e-compass.
Country Head Sachin Thapar said the company was “going to change the rules of the game in the Indian smartphone industry”. “The kind of features InFocus M2 offers are often unheard of in smartphones priced at even double its cost,” he added.
The Android 4.4 KitKat phone also has unique features like gesture controls, TV-direct mode and comes with pre-installed super cool “Meitu-Beauty-FX” app.
