Mahakumbh 2025 Updates: Over 1.53 crore devotees take holy dip in Sangam on Mahashivratri snan
Mahakumbh Mela 2025 Highlights: The Mahakumbh started on January 13. Paush Purnima concluded today with Mahashivratri snan. On the last day of the grand religious gathering, lakhs of devotees took a holy dip.

Mahakumbh 2025 Highlights: The Mahakumbh Mela, the world's largest gathering, is set to conlcude today with Mahashivratri Snan. The Mahakumbh witnessed five holy bath among which three were Amrit Snan. While Makar Sanranti on January 14, Mauni Amavasya on January 29 and Basant Panchami on February 3 were Amrit Snans, Paus Purnima on January 13, Maghi Purnima on February 12 and Mahashivratri on February 26 were other important snan days. The government left no stone unturned to make it a successful event. The event became a centre of attraction for incorporating technology and making high-alert security measures.

'Bathing process proceeding smoothly without any disruptions': DGP
UP DGP Prashant Kumar said on the arrangements made during the Mahakumbh Snan at Sangam on the occasion of Mahashivratri 2025 said, "Today is an important bathing day, and for this, extensive traffic management arrangements were made. Senior officers were deployed at all key locations, including international and inter-district borders. As a result, the bathing process is proceeding smoothly without any disruptions. Throughout the Maha Kumbh, the railway has also made special arrangements for major bathing days."

Prayagraj Addl SP Shwetabh Pandey said, "Today is the last 'snan parv' at Mahakumbh. Boat patrolling is being done by the Police. Those who have not put on belts on boats are being alerted. If any boat is operating illegally, it is being caught. Motorboats and any kind of engine-operated boats are not being operated today. Regular boats are operational today. Nine patrolling teams are on duty so that there is no untoward incident...The patrolling started last night, extensive patrolling is being done. It will continue till the crowd here disperses..."

4,500 buses, 350 trains to facilitate devotees

'We are ready with all our preparations': Prayagraj DM
Ahead of the final 'Snan' on Maha Shivratri on February 26, the Prayagraj District administration has deployed extra forces and ensured better coordination with railway and airport authorities for better management on the last day of Maha Kumbh.
Prayagraj District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandar emphasised efforts to manage traffic and parking efficiently, ensuring a hassle-free experience for devotees. "Tomorrow is the last 'Snan' on Mahashivratri. We are ready with all our preparations. We deploy extra forces on the big 'Snan' days. We have good coordination with the railways and airport authorities. We have directed our officers to better management of the parking spaces so that traffic would be under control. Senior officials are deployed at all the junctions and parking spaces for better management...We have issued a traffic advisory in the morning today," he said.
