Fire breaks out in Hyderabad-Jaipur Express at Nampally station, fire tenders rushed
Two AC 3-tier coaches of the Hyderabad-Jaipur Express caught fire before the train's scheduled departure from the Nampally station on Friday evening. No injuries were reported as the coaches were empty at the time of the incident, officials said.

A fire broke out in two AC coaches of the Hyderabad-Jaipur Express on Friday evening, shortly before the train's departure from the Nampally station in the Telangana capital. Fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames, but it had completely charred the two compartments by then.
According to Railway officials, no casualties were reported in the incident as the coaches were empty. The blaze erupted in the B1 and B2 AC 3-tier coaches of the Jaipur-bound train at around 6.45 pm, triggering panic at the railway station.
Officials said the incident was noticed around 6.45 pm while the train was being placed on the platform ahead of its scheduled departure at 7.50 pm. Smoke and flames were seen rising from the affected coaches before the train could leave the station.
As there were no passengers inside the coaches at the time of the incident, no injuries were reported, officials added.
The fire was completely doused after a short while with three fire tenders pressed into service. The damaged coaches were detached from the train for further inspection.
Officials said the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Three held for dacoity in Telangana
In other news, three members of an interstate gang have been arrested in connection with the sensational dacoity at a jewellery shop in Karimnagar city, police said.
The robbery took place on May 3, when armed assailants opened fire at a jewellery store, injuring four employees before fleeing with 161.4 tolas of gold ornaments and 112 carats of diamond jewellery, collectively valued at Rs 82.02 lakh.
Police said the crime was allegedly planned under the guidance of interstate gang handler Subodh Singh, alias “Golden Thief”, who is currently lodged in a jail in Bihar, along with several habitual offenders.
According to investigators, the gang carried out advance reconnaissance of the target area, identified escape routes, used fake Aadhaar cards and fake bike number plates, stayed in lodges under false identities, and relied on modern technology and mobile applications while carrying out armed robberies at jewellery shops and banks.
Karimnagar Police Commissioner Gaush Alam said three accused have been arrested so far. Police seized mobile phones, fake Aadhaar cards and Rs 51,000 in cash from the accused.
The prime accused, Raghunath Karmakar alias Jagira Singh, was arrested on May 13, while two other accused were taken into custody in Bihar and West Bengal and later brought to Telangana on transit remand, the police commissioner said.
