A fire broke out at a textile showroom in Kerala's Kozhikode on Tuesday. As per the information, fire tenders are present at the spot as emergency teams working to contain the blaze. According to local officials, efforts are underway to douse the fire and bring the situation under control. Kozhikode Commissioner said that the fire is still not under control. "A lot of fire engines have already come; more are on the way," he added. Meanwhile, Kozhikode MP Raghavan said that the fire service has been ordered to reach at the spot. "I think the situation will be under control soon," he added.
In December 2025, a massive fire had erupted at a plastic recycling unit in Kerala's Kannur district, triggering panic among local residents, officials said. The blaze erupted around noon on December 20 at a warehouse near Kandikkal Estate in Thalassery, where large quantities of plastic waste were stored. Seven people burnt to death in Rajasthan
On Monday, at least seven people were burned to death in a fire that broke out in a chemical factory in the Bhiwadi area of Rajasthan's Khairthal-Tijara district, officials said. Rajasthan Minister Sanjay Sharma said seven workers died in the Bhiwadi factory fire. He said the factory, located in a garment zone, was illegally manufacturing fireworks.
