• Mhasla: NCP (Ajit Pawar) is leading in 1 seat.

Out of the 10 seats in Mahad Panchayat Samiti, the NCP is leading on three seats. The party is also leading on three seats in Poladpur Panchayat Samiti.

According to the Maharashtra State Election Commission (SEC), the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections in 12 districts of the state recorded around 67 per cent.

In another development, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) corporator Manjusha Nagpure has been elected unopposed as the mayor of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). Meanwhile, RPI (A) leader Parshuram Wadekar has been elected as the deputy mayor.

In the Zilla Parishad elections, the Shiv Sena and the NCP have taken an early lead on two seats each.

The Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections in Raigad are going to be a litmus test for the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). The elections were held days after Ajit Pawar's death in a plane crash near the Baramati airport in Pune district in January.

The undivided Shiv Sena won 41 of the 118 seats in the previous Panchayat Samiti elections in Raigad district in 2017. 

In the previous Zilla Parishad polls in Raigad district, the alliance of the undivided Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the Peasants and Workers Party of India (PWP) won 38 out the 59 seats.

The polling was scheduled to be held on February 5, but were deferred after the death of Ajit Pawar in a plane crash near the Baramati airport in the Pune district in January.

The overall voter turnout for the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections in Maharashtra was around 67 per cent, according to the Maharashtra State Election Commission (SEC).

Days after the conclusion of the municipal council and municipal corporation polls in the state, the crucial elections to the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samitis in Raigad, Maharashtra, will take place on February 7 (Saturday) and the counting of votes will be held on February 9 (Monday), according to the scheduled shared by the State Election Commission (SEC). In Maharashtra's Raigad district, there 15 Panchayat Samitis -- Panvel, Karjat, Khalapur, Sudhagad, Pen, Uran, Alibaug, Murud, Roha, Tala, Mangaon, Mhasla, Shriwardhan, Mahad, and Poladpur. 

There are 118 Panchayat Samitis seats in 15 Panchayat Samitis in Maharashtra's Raigad district. 

There are 59 Zilla Parishad seats in the Raigad district of Maharashtra.

The polling for the elections to the Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis in Raigad, Maharashtra, was held on February 7 (Saturday).

The counting of votes for the Raigad Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections will begin at 10 am today.
