Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Election Result 2026: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won in 84 seats, while the NCP appliance (NCP-Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar) managed to bag 37 seats.

The lotus has bloomed again in the Pimpri-Chinchwad municipal elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won in 83 seats, while the NCP appliance (NCP-Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar) managed to bag 37 seats. Here's the latest election result trends-

 Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Election Results 2026 Live: BJP wins big with 85 seats 

In the last municipal election in Pimpri-Chinchwad, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 77 seats ending the long-standing dominance of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) which bagged 35 seats. Shiv Sena won 9 seats, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS)- one seat, Others / Independents- 5. As per the poll percentage, BJP obtained 37.11 per cent of the total votes casted, NCP- 28.65 per cent, SS- 16.54 per cent.

The BJP is leading in 25 out of the total 29 municipal corporations. In Sangli, Kolhapur, Vasai-Virar, and Malegaon, the BJP does not have a lead and is facing tough competition from the Congress. Counting of votes for 29 municipal corporations in Maharashtra, including cash-rich Mumbai started at 10 AM amid tight security. As per the early trend, the BJP took lead in Pune, Nagpur, BMC. Around 50 per cent polling was recorded in Mumbai and 28 other municipal corporations in Maharashtra on Thursday, amid a major controversy over claims that the ink applied on voters' fingers could be easily removed. 

Maharashtra Mnister Chandrakant Patil said, "Mid trends have started coming in now. Mid trends show that these will go ahead speedily. There is no chance of going backwards. It shouldn't come as a surprise if we cross 125 in Pune...The same is the situation in Mumbai...It is one-sided in Pimpri, the same goes for Kolhapur and Sangli...Across Maharashtra, mahauyti will have a good result. Out of 29, there will be Mahayuti in at least 28; most of these will be from the BJP." 

The election results of 29 municipal corporations that include Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Thane, Ulhasnagar, Kalyan-Dombivli, Aurangabad (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar), Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Jalgaon, Ahmednagar (Ahilyanagar), Kolhapur, Bhiwandi-Nizampur, Nanded-Waghala, Malegaon, Latur, Parbhani, Navi Mumbai, Vasai-Virar City, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Solapur, Amravati, Akola, Mira Bhayandar, Panvel, Chandrapur, Sangli-Mirajpur-Kupwad, Dhule, Ichalkaranji, and Jalna will be announced on January 16.
