Maharashtra Lok Sabha Election 2024: Navneet Rana, who contested as an independent candidate in 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Maharashtra's Amravati seat, has been fielded by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming election from Amravati.

In 2014 General Elections, Navneet Rana contested unsuccessfully on Congress' ticket.

In 2019, Rana was elected as an MP from Amravati as an Independent candidate, with the support of Congress and NCP defeating Shiv Sena.

She defeated Shiv Sena candidate and former Union minister Anandrao Adsul.

Apart from Amravati, the saffron party in its eighth list announced Govind Karjol from Karnataka's Chitradurga seat.

BJP leader A Narayanaswamy had won the Chitradurga parliamentary seat in the 2019 general election.

The party also fielded Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini for the bypoll to the Karnal assembly seat, vacated by former chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

Saini succeeded Khattar as Haryana's chief minister earlier this month.

The BJP also released a list of 10 candidates for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly election.
