NTR-Neel: Makers deny rumours of look and schedule cancellations, says, 'there is absolutely no truth...'

The makers of Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel's upcoming film have dismissed the online rumours that claimed changes to the look and a cancelled shooting schedule. Clarifying the situation, the team stated that there is "absolutely no truth" to these claims.

The production banner also assured fans that the film, NTRNeel is progressing as planned, with only a routine preparation gap. The Telugu crime drama is produced under the banners of Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts.

Mythri Movie Makers, the production house, wrote on their X handle, "There is absolutely no truth to the rumours circulating about the look or any schedule cancellation. The film is progressing as planned, with only a routine preparation gap. We request everyone not to believe or spread unverified information. About NTRNeel's release timeline

Last year in April, the makers announced that NTRNeel will hit the screens on June 25, 2026. However, according to reports, the film may now release in summer 2027. The official confirmation regarding film's release date is awaited. 

The film is tentatively titled Dragon, and features Rukmini Vasanth, Anil Kapoor, and Bimal Oberoi in key roles. The music for the film is composed by Ravi Basrur and cinematography is done by Bhuvan Gowda.

Jr NTR's work front

South actor Jr NTR was last seen in the action thriller War 2, alongside Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani. The film, directed by Siddharth Anand, clashed with Rajinikanth’s Coolie. It is now available to stream on Netflix. Jr NTR is best known for his roles in films like RRR, Nannaku Prematho, Devera Part 1 and Janatha Garage.
