Atlee, wife Priya set to welcome second child; Samantha, Janhvi Kapoor congratulate

Filmmaker Atlee and his wife Priya are all set to become parents for the second time. The couple posted adorable photos while announcing the news of the latter's second pregnancy. 

Atlee and Priya tied the knot in 2014. They welcomed son Meer in January 2023.

In a joint post, Atlee and Priya shared photos from the latter's second pregnancy and wrote, "Our home is about to get even cozier with the addition of our newest member! Yes ! We are pregnant again Need all your blessings , love and prayers With love Atlee , Priya , Meer , Becky , Yuki , chocki , Coffee and Goofy."

Samantha, Karan Johar, Keerthy Suresh congratulate couple

Several celebrities poured in love and congratulations in the comments section to celebrate the happy news. Keerthy Suresh wrote, “Congratulations my Darlinssss. Sending lots of love from Nyke and Kenyi,” while Wamiqa Gabbi reacted with an excited, “Omg omg omg. Congratulations you guyssssssssss.” Kajal Aggarwal shared her joy too, saying, “Love love love. Biggest congratulations to our favourites, can’t wait to meet the newest little addition.” Janhvi Kapoor kept it brief with “best best best,” and Karan Johar congratulated the couple with, “Congratulations to Atlee and you.” Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s message stood out for its emotion as she wrote, “So so beautiful. Congratulations my beautiful mama.”

Atlee, whose real name is Arun Kumar, is known for films like Raja Rani, Theri, Mersal and Bigil, steadily carving out a space for himself as one of the most bankable directors in the industry. His most recent release was Jawan, which featured superstar Shah Rukh Khan and went on to become a huge success.

The filmmaker is now busy with an untitled project that brings together Telugu superstar Allu Arjun and actor Deepika Padukone.
