Farah Khan hails Michael Jackson biopic Michael, calls for Oscar nod for Jaafar Jackson
Farah Khan heaped praise on the film Michael and urged audiences to watch it. Through an Instagram post, she called out critics and lauded Jaafar Jackson's performance.

Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan recently watched the Hollywood film Michael, inspired by the life of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. The film hit theatres on April 23 and received negative reviews from critics. However, the Om Shanti Om director strongly supported the film and praised Jaafar Jackson's performance in an Instagram post.
She also called out critics and urged people to watch the film Michael. Along with this, she expressed her wish that Jaafar Jackson wins an Oscar next year for his performance.
Farah Khan praises Michael Jackson's biopic
On Saturday evening, she shared a picture of herself with Michael Jackson and wrote, "Point to be noted.. Critics r morons in every country! Go Watch MICHAEL!! N sm1 pls give @jaafarjackson the Oscar next year!"
She also reshared the post on her Instagram Story and wrote, "This film is for us fans and not for the critics. Loved Michael."
Internet reacts to Farah Khan's Instagram post
Warda Khan S Nadiadwala, wife of filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala, also agreed with Farah Khan's words and commented, "Absolutely JJ totally deserves an Oscar… Michael. His story continues…." Social media users and fans also expressed their love for Farah Khan’s throwback picture with Michael Jackson. One user commented, "Two icons in one frame. The King of Pop with the Queen of Directors." Another added, "Lovely."

The Hollywood docu-drama Michael is written by John Logan and directed by Antoine Fuqua. Apart from Jaafar Jackson, the film features Colman Domingo as Joseph Jackson, Nia Long as Katherine Jackson, Juliano Valdi as young Michael, and others.
Michael: Box office collection in India
The film opened with average collections in India. It collected Rs 1.70 crore from paid previews and earned Rs 3.60 crore on its first day across 3,029 shows. It then witnessed a weekend boost on Saturday, earning Rs 5 crore across 3,190 shows with 19% occupancy. So far, Michael has earned Rs 10.30 crore in India.
