Sounding confident of his victory from both Chamundeshwari and Badami Assembly constituencies, Congress leader and Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday said that he did not care about his opponents in these seats.
"I am least bothered who will contest against me there. I have faith in voters. North Karnataka people wanted me to contest from here so I am contesting," Siddaramaiah told media persons at Hubli airport.
Siddaramaiah will contest from both Chamundeshwari and Badami seats in upcoming Assembly elections.
The Karnataka chief minister accused the central government of deliberately targeting his party leaders and asked why no action was being taken against BJP leaders like Yeddyurappa and Jagdish Shettar.
"The Centre is misusing the power by trying to disturb our leaders. Why there are no raids on Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former chief minister of Karnataka Jagadish Shettar and Chief Ministerial candidate BS Yeddyurappa's places?" Siddaramaiah asked.
Karnataka will vote on May 12 to elect 224-member Assembly. The counting will take place on May 15.
