Fire breaks out at factory near Punjabi Bagh Metro Station in Delhi, fire tenders rush to spot | VIDEO

A fire erupted at a factory in the industrial area near Punjabi Bagh Metro Station in Delhi. Firefighters are working to control the blaze, and officials said more information will follow as the situation becomes clearer.

A massive fire broke out at a factory located in the industrial area near the Punjabi Bagh Metro Station in Delhi. Following the incident, thick smoke was seen rising from the structure as emergency services rushed to the spot.

Multiple fire tenders were immediately rushed to the site and crews began efforts to bring the situation under control, as per officials. They said the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained and added that "further details are awaited".

Fire breaks out at northwest Delhi's restaurant

Earlier on April 20, a fire broke out at a restaurant in northwest Delhi's Rohini area, prompting a quick response from the fire department, an official of the Delhi Fire Service said. The blaze erupted at a BTW restaurant in Rohini Sector 11. All people present inside the restaurant managed to evacuate safely before the situation escalated, and no injuries have been reported, an official said.

According to the DFS, a call regarding the incident was received at around 11.05 am, following which five fire tenders were rushed to the scene. Firefighters brought the blaze under control after efforts to contain it and prevent it from spreading to nearby establishments.
