Ramnagar Election Results 2025: The counting process began with postal ballots and continued with the tabulation of votes from Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) starting at 8:30 am. The 2025 Bihar Assembly elections witnessed a record-breaking voter turnout of 67.13 percent, the highest since 1951.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Nand Kishore Ram registered a strong victory in the Ramnagar Assembly constituency, winning by a margin of 35,680 votes after 28 rounds of counting. Ram secured around 1,15,214 votes, consolidating the BJP’s dominance in the Paschim Champaran region. The counting process concluded under tight security across all 243 constituencies on Friday, marking the end of the 2025 Bihar Assembly election results.

This year’s election recorded a historic voter turnout of 67.13 percent- the highest since 1951. Notably, women outpaced men in participation, with 71.6 percent voter turnout compared to 62.8 percent among men, underscoring greater female engagement in Bihar’s democratic process.

The Ramnagar Assembly constituency, numbered 2 in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, is a reserved seat for Scheduled Castes (SC). It falls under the Paschim Champaran Lok Sabha constituency. According to the Election Commission’s 2020 data, the seat had 1,90,756 registered voters- 94,474 male, 95,663 female, and one belonging to the third gender. The constituency recorded 472 postal votes and 321 service voters. Situated in north Bihar, Ramnagar remains one of the politically active constituencies in the region, often reflecting trends in Champaran politics.

In the 2020 Bihar Assembly Elections, BJP candidate Bhaghirathi Devi won the seat with a margin of 15,796 votes. She was polled 75,423 votes with a vote share of 39.57%. Bhaghirathi defeated Congress candidate Rajesh Ram, who got 59,627 votes (31.28%). BYPP candidate Subodh Kumar stood third with 26,063 votes (13.67%). NOTA was in the fourth position with 4,456 votes (2.34%). The total number of valid votes polled was 1,86,157.
In the 2015 Bihar Assembly Elections, BJP candidate Bhaghirathi Devi won the seat. She was polled 82,166 votes with a vote share of 48.05%. Congress candidate Purnmasi Ram got 64,178 (37.53%) and was the runner-up. Bhaghirathi defeated Ram by a margin of 17,988 votes. NCP candidate Subodh Kumar came in third with 9,488 votes (5.55%), and None of the Above (NOTA) was in the fourth position with 3,195 votes (1.87%).
