The Home Department of the Government of Bihar issued a notification in this regard and mentioned Nitish Kumar's impending resignation from the post of Chief Minister in the coming days. This order has thus made it clear that Nitish Kumar will soon resign from the office of Chief Minister.

Nitish Kumar was elected to Rajya Sabha recently
Recently, Nitish Kumar was elected to the Rajya Sabha and will resign as Chief Minister in the near future and join the Rajya Sabha. In the wake of these developments, it has been decided to provide Z-plus security to Nitish Kumar after reviewing his security.
It should be noted that different categories of security have been created for VIP security, ranging from X to Z Plus. Z Plus is the highest security category, consisting of approximately 36 personnel, including police personnel and more than 10 commandos from the Central Reserve Police Force.
