Motihari Election Results 2025: The Rashtriya Janata Dal, the Janata Dal United, the Bharatiya Janata Party, Jan Suraaj Party and the Congress are the main parties in Motihari.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Pramod Kumar secured a win from the Motihari Assembly constituency, defeating Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate Dewa Gupta by a margin of 13,563 votes after the completion of 28 rounds of counting. Kumar received a total of 1,06,080 votes, strengthening the BJP’s position in Purvi Champaran. Counting concluded across all 243 constituencies in Bihar on Friday (November 14), bringing the 2025 Assembly election results to a close.
Record voter turnout and counting process
The counting process began with postal ballots and progressed to Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) data from 8:30 am under strict security arrangements. The 2025 Bihar elections recorded a historic voter turnout of 67.13 percent- the highest since 1951. Women voters once again outnumbered men, with 71.6 percent turnout compared to 62.8 percent among male voters, highlighting the growing political participation of women in the state.
