Bihar Election Results 2025: In Amour, Akhtarul Iman is ahead of Saba Zafar of Janata Dal-United (JDU), his nearest rival, by 34,009 votes, while in Jokihat, Mohammad Murshid Alam is leading by 22,707 votes.

Asaduddin Owaisi's All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is putting up a strong performance in Bihar, leading in six constituencies as counting is underway for the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections. The AIMIM candidates are leading in Amour, Baisi, Kochadhaman, Thakurganj, Bahadurganj and Jokihat. The party won five seats in the 2020 Bihar Assembly polls. 

In Amour, Akhtarul Iman is ahead of Saba Zafar of Janata Dal-United (JDU), his nearest rival, by 34,009 votes, while in Jokihat, Mohammad Murshid Alam is leading by 22,707 votes. Ghulam Sarwar has taken the lead in Baisi by 5,599 votes, and in Thakurganj, Ghulam Hasnain is leading by the margin of 8,428 votes. The party is also leading in Kochadhaman and Bahadurganj. Mohd Sarwar Aalm and Mohd Tauseef Alam are leading in these constituencies. 

What happened in Amour in the past? 

In the last Assembly election in 2020, AIMIM candidate Akhtarul Iman won the seat by defeating JD(U) candidate Saba Zafar. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Congress candidate Mohammad Jawed won from the Kishanganj Lok Sabha seat with a margin of 59,692 votes by defeating Mujahid Alam of Janata Dal (United). 

What happened in Jokihat in the past? 

As per data from the Election Commission, there were 2,93,347 voters in the Jokihat constituency during the 2020 Bihar Assembly Elections. Out of this, 1,54,024 voters were male and 1,39,308 were female. There were 710 postal votes (351 valid) in the constituency. The number of service voters in Jokihat was 39 (37 men and 02 women) in 2020. In 2015, the total number of voters in the Jokihat Assembly constituency was 2,57,611. Out of this, 1,38,230 voters were male and 1,19,371 were female. There were 1,003 (849 valid) postal votes in the constituency. The number of service voters in Jokihat was 8 (all men) in 2015.

What happened in Baisi in the past? 

As per data from the Election Commission, there were 2,73,738 voters in the Baisi constituency during the 2020 Bihar Assembly Elections. Out of this, 1,42,721 voters were male and 1,31,004 were female. There were 925 postal votes (819 valid) in the constituency. The number of service voters in Baisi was 10. (9 men and one woman) in 2020. In 2015, the total number of voters in the Baisi Assembly constituency was 2,46,568. Out of this, 1,30,230 voters were male and 1,16,328 were female. There were 793 (765 valid) postal votes in the constituency. The number of service voters in Baisi was 9 (7 men and two women) in 2015.

What happened in Thakurganj in the past?

As per data from the Election Commission, there were 2,91,257 voters in the Thakurganj constituency during the 2020 Bihar Assembly Elections. Out of this, 1,49,450 voters were male and 1,41,802 were female. There were 990 postal votes (946 valid) in the constituency. The number of service voters in Thakurganj was 53 (50 men and 03 women) in 2020. In 2015, the total number of voters in the Thakurganj Assembly constituency was 2,57,209. Out of this, 1,35,030 voters were male and 1,22,175 were female. There were 1,120 (969 valid) postal votes in the constituency. The number of service voters in Thakurganj was 29 (21 men and 08 women) in 2015.

What happened in Kochadhaman in the past?

As per data from the Election Commission, there were 2,50,134 voters in the Kochadhaman constituency during the 2020 Bihar Assembly Elections. Out of this, 1,28,672 voters were male and 1,21,450 were female. There were 1,134 postal votes (1,020 valid) in the constituency. The number of service voters in Kochadhaman was 12 (12 men and 00 women) in 2020. In 2015, the total number of voters in the Kochadhaman Assembly constituency was 2,16,620. Out of this, 1,14,918 voters were male and 1,01,698 were female. There were 1,137 (1,075 valid) postal votes in the constituency. The number of service voters in Kochadhaman was 05 (03 men and 02 women) in 2015.
