"In some parts of the country, a few people, misguided by Naxalism, tried to create an environment of violence and fear. Our culture and tradition and, above all, our Constitution do not have any place for violence," President Kovind said.
On Friday, President Kovind will lay the foundation stone of an auditorium of the Kanpur Bar Association in the city.
The party's last Iftar was hosted by then Congress President Sonia Gandhi in 2015.
