  Naik Dhananjay Kumar Singh, who belonged to the Army Medical Corps, served with the UN Stabilisation Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo as a nursing assistant. He died on November 1, 2023, due to a heart disease and was among the 60 UN peacekeepers posthumously awarded on Thursday.

  Thane: Slain anti-superstition activist Dr.Narendra Dabholkar was today awarded “Lok Shahir Vitthal Umap Mrudgandh Puraskar” at a function held here.  The award is instituted by Vatsala Foundation.  Dabholkar (65) was shot dead by unidentified assailants
