Imran Khan also stated that plans were being made to put him behind bars, however, he added that the movement will continue till election dates are announced.
"I was a 100 per cent sure that bullets will be fired. People from our side were also ready as some of them were carrying pistols," Imran Khan said.
Imran Khan, who was ousted from power by a no-trust vote, has asked "all Pakistanis" to take to the streets in their respective cities and appealed to women and children to come out of their homes for "real independence".
Imran Khan announced that his party's long protest march to Islamabad will begin on May 25 demanding the dissolution of the National Assembly and a date for the next general election and inviting people to join in large numbers.
The JUI-F staged the rally and sit-in in the capital from October 31 to November 13. In this regard, arrangements were made for lodging, meal and transportation of police called from other district. An amount of $1.6 million was spent on the 18 days sit-in, the officials stated.
Rehman claimed on Tuesday that the protest had achieved its target and added the JUI-F did not go to the federal capital without any purpose.
