Amanatullah granted bail: He was granted bail on a personal bond of Rs one lakh, said the Special Judge Vikas Dhull. A detailed order from the court is awaited.
Anti-corruption branch raids Amanatullah: The Anti-Corruption Branch had issued a notice to AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan for interrogation in connection with a two-year-old corruption case related to the Delhi Waqf Board, said officials.
The Aam Aadmi Party leader Amanatullah Khan has been called for questioning at 12 pm on Friday in connection with the case registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act in 2020.
A criminal case has been registered against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan for allegedly inciting violence during the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act protest. Uttar Pradesh Police on Monday booked the MLA after an FIR was registered at the Kotwali police station in Ghaziabad on December 18. "A case has been registered against the MLA under six different sections. A section of Information Technology (Amendment) Act 2008 has also been added to it," Sudhir Kumar Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Ghaziabad told IANS.
Man filed a complaint against AAP supporters and MLA Amanatullah Khan alleging that he was assaulted because he was not supporting Khan and the party, a senior police officer said.
The court directed Khan not to influence witnesses or tamper with evidence and join the investigation as and when directed by the investigating officer of the case.
