New Delhi: Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has developed the knack to make headlines for all wrong reasons
He has been making controversial remarks on a regular basis.
His remarks have embarrassed his party Janata Dal (United), the ruling party in Bihar.
Manjhi was handpicked by Nitish Kumar as his successor after party's poor performance in the Lok Sabha polls held this year.
Manjhi, however, had on many occasions, retracted from his statements prompting the opposition BJP to allege that the Chief Minister did not have the freedom to express his views.
He had supported bribery, endorsed corruption and black marketing and said that Dalit youths should go for inter-caste marriage to 'increase population'.
He had also blamed the media, as usual, for having misconstrued his comments.
