Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate to the nation two units each of 600 MW of Shree Singaji Thermal Power Plant in Khandwa district on March 5.

"The Prime Minister will arrive in Khandwa via Indore on March 5 to inaugurate two units each of 600 MW of the thermal power plant," Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited's (MPPGCL) Managing Director Vijendra Nanawati said.

He will also lay the foundation stone of two units each of 660 MW of the same power plant, Nanawati said.

Shree Singaji Thermal Power Plant is a coal-fired project located near Dongaliya village in Khandwa.

The project is owned by MPPGCL.

Khandwa MP and state BJP unit president Nandkumar Singh Chouhan informed that during his day-long visit to the state, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of Khandwa-Mhow broad guage railway line.
