Elections for Municipal Councils (Nagar Parishads) and Nagar Panchayats across Maharashtra was conducted in two phases on December 2 and December 20 and the ruling Mahayuti alliance emerged as the single largest group, winning 207 of the 288 seats that went to polls, according to the State Election Commission. In the Ahilyanagar (Ahmednagar) district, the Mahayuti alliance has emerged as the dominant force, winning the majority of municipal councils and nagar panchayats. Mahayuti secured victories in Deolali Pravara, Jamkhed, Kopergaon, Pathardi, Rahata, Shevgaon, Shirdi, Shrigonda, and Newasa Nagar Panchayat. The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) won in Rahuri and Shrirampur, while the Sangamner Seva Samiti claimed a win in Sangamner.
