Mohammed Afzal Guru, who was executed in Tihar Jail on Saturday was an average student and could have become a qualified doctor, had he not joined Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF). He named his son Ghalib, after legendary Urdu poet Mirza Ghalib, perhaps out of his love for ghazals.
