Australian Open 2026 women's final Live score: Rybakina wins Australian open, beats Aryna Sabalenka in final

Aryna Sabalenka is in tears at the Rod Laver Arena. He held a 3-0 lead in the third set but failed to keep up with the momentum, leading to a heartbreaking defeat. Rybakina kept her calm and composure, which Sabalanka lost after a point and that argubly decided the game. 

Elena Rybakina wins her second Grand Slam title. She beat Aryna Sabalenka 6-4,4-6,6-4. The duo hugs after the game, before Rybakina goes to hug her team. This is one of the biggest comback stories, given what happened in 2023 Australian Open final.

Who would have thought? After being 3-0 down in the final set, Rybakina scripts a marvellous comeback to take a 4-3 lead. This is unbelievable. Sabalenka don't know where to look. What a game of Tennis we are having at Rod Laver Arena!

Sabalenka is giving her all but Rybakina is too hot to handle at the moment. She holds her serve as it moves to 3-3 in the final set. Sabalenka seems to be slightly rattled with the developments. 

Rybakina breaks Sabalenka's serve. Massive twist in the context of the game. The Belarusian seemed to be walking away after 3-0 lead, but Rybakina wins back-to-back rounds to fight back. Even though Sabalenka holds the lead, Rybakina has a great opportunity to script a comeback now. 

Rybakina wins the fourth round of the third set. The scoreline now reads 3-1. She needs to break Sabalenka now to stay in the hunt. 

Aryna Sabalenka takes a 3-0 lead in the third set and is now on the verge of winning her third Australian Open. Rybakina hasn't been close to her best in the past hour and Sabalenka took an advantage of that. She is playing some unbelieveble Tennis at the moment. 

And Sabalenka breaks once again. She is rising to the occasion and has now put the pressure on Rybakina. She breaks the fifth-seed with a strong backhand and now leads 2-0 in the third.

Sabalenka wins the first round of the third set. She takes the most important lead and now the goal is to break Rybakina's serve. The Kazak, in the meantime, will be determined to bounce back after a short break. 

And here she is. The World No.1 finally get a break and takes the second set to level things. She had a 40-love lead with three break points and set points, and takes the first one on offering. It's 1-1, and we are going into the final set now.

Sabalenka is not able to find answers to Rybakina's serve as the Kazakhstan star holds on to her serve for a love. Sabalenka holds her serve well as he win the game 40-15. Sabalenka 5-4 in the second set. She needs to break.

There is pressure on the former Australian Open champion here at the Rod Laver Arena but she is able to hold onto her serve. It was 40-30 before Rybakina pushed it to deuce, but Sabalenka holds to lead 4-3 in 2nd set.

Rybakina has once again brought it back; two games each have been won by the players now. The second set showcases more of the talent and the balance between the two stars. 

The second set has seen Sabalenka showing much more promise. Winning the first game of the second set, she is on the brink of winning the second game as well.

Rybakina has taken the first set away from Sabalenka! A brilliant performance by the Kazakh professional. Brings herself a lot closer to winning the title.

Elena Rybakina has been brilliant with her serves here in the first set. Sabalenka does not seem to have the reply but the world number one looks helpless. Rybakina leads 5-3.

Rybakina has begin like she means to go on, after five games, she leads Sabalenka by 3-2. She will be aiming to clinch the first set here and get off to a great start to the summit clash.
