And now its time for the two legends to meet each other. Two absolute icons of their sports. Sachin Tendulkar has been called into the middle as fans go crazy again.

And here comes Lionel Messi, along with Luis Suarez and Rodrigo de Paul. The fans are going crazy at the Wankhede. Messi comes to meet the players of the All-Stars. He greets all the players and then meets Sunil Chhetri. The two hug each other. 

And Sachin Tendulkar is now here as the fans chant for him at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. Sachin is in attendance and so are Devendra Fadnavis and Tiger Shroff, among others.

And from the live visuals which we see at the Wankhede Stadium, fans have turned up in hige number at the inconic venue. The capacity of the stadium is 33,000 and it is set to be packed here.

"In West Bengal, any program or event seems to be failing. Why is this happening? Because there is no proper law and order in West Bengal; the law is not functioning. The reason is that so many extra tickets were quietly sold. Tickets priced at 30,000, 40,000, 50,000, even 70,000 were sold to multiple people. One ticket was bought, and behind it 100–200 tickets were quietly issued," Jyotirmoy Singh Mahato said.

Fans flock to the Wankhede in large numbers ahead of Lionel Messi's visit to the venue. Messi is expected to arrive at the iconic venue in sometime.

"I am here to see Messi. Actually, I was also in Hyderabad, but Hyderabad was announced later. I had already booked the tickets for Mumbai. I always wanted to see Messi... It's my dream to see him... I am very, very excited. I will cry if I see him. I am that excited," a fan said. 

"For the first time, a global superstar is in India... It's very close to Pune, and it's amazing to see him live... I started watching football from around 2012-13. Since then, there has always been debate about Ronaldo and Messi. For me, it was always Messi, and I loved his play. The 2022 World Cup also had immense glory. I loved it. He has that legacy," a fan said.

Actress Shilpa Shetty has reached the Brabourne Stadium to see Messi on his Mumbai tour. She is among other celebrities set to see and meet the Argentine legend today. 

"We had asked for 14 days (remand of the main organiser), and we have been given 14 days. We are identifying the people involved. We will make arrests... The question arises as to why there were so many water bottles and how they reached the stalls, because we had not permitted water bottles. We had made this very clear during our social media live broadcast, so we had not given permission. So now we have to investigate this, and it is also part of the investigation how these bottles got there and who brought them in...We have started 2 cases," Mukesh told media.

Messi has arrived at the Brabourne Stadium for the start of his Mumbai leg tour. He had arrived in Mumbai earlier in the day.

"You can consider Messi as my second love after my wife and parents. It is a very proud moment that he is in India and that we can see him at Wankhede Stadium. If I get a chance to meet him and take his autograph, it will be the happiest moment for my family," a fan, who will be watching the Messi event in Mumbai, said.

Retired Calcutta High Court judge Justice Ashim Kumar Ray is heading the inquiry committee formed by the Bengal government to investigate the Messi event chaos incident. "I have not formed any opinion, just I have visited the spot. We will submit our report as soon as possible," he said after visiting the incident spot.

"Messi and Ronaldo are among the world's greatest footballers. They are followed by millions of fans through international media. Football is the most played sport in the world...Yesterday's incident was very unfortunate for Kolkata, West Bengal. This could have been avoided. It shows how unprepared and lacking in managerial skills the post-ministry government of West Bengal is... This will not only affect the fans financially who have lost money by paying a huge amount to buy tickets to watch Messi. This will cost India even more, especially when the Prime Minister is trying to portray India as a soft power through sport. When India is bidding for 2036 Olympics, when India is hosting 2030 Commonwealth Games, when India is hosting World Police Games...During those competitions, the competitor may raise the question of whether Kolkata or West Bengal is not prepared to host  an international event, perhaps the management or the government is not mature enough to do this. So I think this will cost Bengal, this will cost Kolkata for the next 50 years," Chaubey told ANI.

Messi has left his hotel in Mumbai to go to the Brabourne Stadium, and he has reached the venue to kick start his Mumbai tour. There is a Padel Cup scheduled to take place at the CCI.

Messi arrived in Mumbai earlier in the day. He will be at the Brabourne Stadium for the Padel Cup at the venue at 3:30 PM. There is a celebrity football match at 4:00 pm. Messi will head to Mumbai for an event that begins at 5:00 PM.

Fans have been arriving at the Cricket Club of India (CCI), Brabourne Stadium, to see Messi during his Mumbai leg of the GOAT tour. Messi has already arrived in Mumbai and will be at the CCI.

"I could also meet the committee which has been set up for this purpose,  headed by the Retired Judge of the High Court, the Chief Secretary, Home Secretary and others in the picture. They are also having a detailed inspection. This should be an eye-opener for all of us. This incident has brought untold shame to the football lovers everywhere, and in Kolkata. There should be a standard operating procedure for such congregation management in future. Because when a private party is allowed to commercialise sports and make money, the public should not be the sufferers. There are larger issues of administrative governance involved in that, and also the fundamental rights and the human rights of the people are involved in that. I see it from a larger perspective. My report after discussing with some of the victims will be submitted to the concerned authorities, and I do not want to reveal the content right now, but my report is almost ready. For Messi's Mumbai leg tour, the Mumbai Police have made strong security arrangements. "The Mumbai Police have made complete arrangements for the important routes, the stadium, and the surrounding areas where the event is taking place. Traffic diversions and personnel deployment have also been implemented. For this ticketed event, those with tickets will be granted entry through the specific gate mentioned on their ticket. Those without tickets are requested not to congregate unnecessarily on the roads. We have covered every important point and junction, whether it's the stadium or the important roads," Joint Commissioner of Police (Law & Order), Satya Narayan said.

In a major development, the main organiser of the Lionel Messi India tour, Satadru Dutta, has been denied bail and has also been sent to police custody. Dutta was detained by the police at Kolkata airport after yesterday's chaos.
