USA are in deep trouble in the chase. They are not able to get big overs and would find it extremely difficult now. USA 74/3 after 11 overs.

USA are losing further ground in this match. The well-set Jahangir is gone on 49 as USA are now 3 down for 69.

Feeling the heat, Monank Patel feels it is time to go. He tries slogging it but top-edges it into the sky. Shadab settles under it and grabs it as the USA go 2 down. USA 58/2 after 8.3 overs.

The post-power play has been quiet for USA. They have added just seven runs in the two overs after that as they now need a mobe on. They are currently 57/1 after 8.

Big wicket for Pakistan as they get the dangerous Gous. Mohammad Nawaz strikes in the fifth over as Gous has been caught out at covers. USA 42/1 after 5.

This is a fine start by USA as Jahangir is hitting some boundaries. He hits a six over cow corner and then slams a four towards the same region as 11 come from the second over. USA 20/0 after 2.

And USA start well in the chase. Gous hits a four, a brilliant cover drive to kick the things before the change of strike and then Shayan Jahangir hits a four between mid-wicket and mid-on. USA 9/0 after 1.

And the USA batters are in the middle. Andries Gous and Shayan Jahangir will look for a strong start. Shaheen Shah Afridi has the new ball in his hand. 

"I’m not going to lie - to be fair, I’m always enjoying my cricket. I love playing cricket, so it’s not difficult to enjoy it. I think the result, or the wickets column, is just something that takes care of itself once you look after the process. It (pitch) looked batter-friendly. I think I just had to trust my plans as much as I could. So yes, it did look like a good wicket out there. (Do you think the batters will chase it down) I do think so, yes, 100%. I do think so. If we get a good wicket, I think anything can happen, and I’ll definitely back our boys," he said after the innings.

This is a good score by Pakistan as they have ended on 190/9 in their 20 overs against the USA. They lost a few wickets in the end after Shadab was dismissed. But this still looks a strong total. This pitch looks better than what the previous matches at this venue showed. Will USA able to hunt this down?

Schalkwyk gets his fourth as he dismisses Faheem Ashraf, caught at short third. Annddd, another one gone. Pakistan are losing their way here. Netravalkar comes for the final over as Nawaz has been caught at long-on. 

Pakistan might have lost both the set batters but they are going strong here. Shadab Khan slams three consecutive fours off Ehsan Adil as Pakistan take 16 off the over. They are at 173/4 after 18.

Another one gone. Sahibzada's strong knock comes to an end as he departs for 73 off 41 balls. This was wide outside off by Harmeet as the batter went searching for a big shot. He gets a toe end off it as the long-off grabs it. Pakistan now 143/4 after 15.5. Can USA seize this moment?

Babar was looking good out there as he was taking the bowlers on. He hit 17 off five balls of Harmeet Singh but has now departed as Mohammad Mohsin gets him caught at long on. Pakistan 137/3 after 15.

Sahibzada is playing a fine inning here for Pakistan. He brings up a 26-ball fifty as he going well here. Pakistan are currently at 91/2 after 11 overs.

Schalkwyk strikes again in his second over as he sends Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha packing. The batter finds the deep square leg fielder with perfection as Pakistan now go two down. Pakistan 56/2 after 6 overs asthe  powerplay ends.

Schalkwyk was a star performer in the clash against India and he strikes in his second over against Pakistan. He removes Saim Ayub caught at short third as the batter miscued this. USA get their first. Pakistan 54/1 after 5.1

Sahizada slammed a couple of sixes off Netravalkar. One over backward square leg on a short one and then over deep mid-wicket as Pak take 12 from the over. Saim is also taking the risks and would have had his heart in his mouth for a bit. He hit one aerial as Monank ran back from the covers but could not get to the ball. Pakistan 38/0 after 4.

 Sahibzada Farhan is having a move here. He hits three fours in the second over bowled by Adil Ehsan. One over mid-wicket, the other over short third and then to covers. Pakistan are at 19/0 after 2 overs.

This could have been curtains for Saim Ayub but he survives a close shave. After slamming a six off Netravalkar, he was trapped in front, failing to slog one on the leg side. This hit him on the leg stump line and was umpire's call on hitting. Pakistan 6/0 after 1 over.

Out walk the Pakistan openers Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan. Pakistan will look for a strong start from these two. Saurabh Netravalkar has the new ball in his hand. Off we go with Ayub taking the strike!!

"We’ve got one change. Usman Tariq is playing. Salman Mirza is unfortunately missing out. We wanted to give Usman a game. I think he’s a match-winner and a trump card for us, so we want to use him. I think we all know there are things we need to improve. We’ve sat down and talked about that, and I’m hoping we’ll be much better today. We’ve been playing really good cricket over the last few months, and we just want to continue playing good cricket every single day," Salman said at the toss.

"We’re going to bowl first. Looks like a good batting track and there’s a consistent breeze here, so once we know the target, it will be easy for us to chase it down. We have two changes. Ali Khan is still injured, so Adil comes in place of him. Sai misses out and Jahangir comes in. I think we played a lot of good cricket. There were a lot of positives from that game. One thing we discussed is that when we want to win against good teams, it’s important that we do well with both bat and ball. So the focus will be doing well in both departments in this game. We had a great game. First time playing against Pakistan, and the way we played was great to see. Everyone gave their effort, and we want to take confidence and motivation from that game and do well today," Patel said at the toss.

USA have won the toss and have opted to bowl first. USA captain Monank Patel said that this "looks like a good batting track and consistent breeze."

"This is the third game to be played at this venue, and it will be a fresh pitch. What we’ve seen here at the SSC is extra bounce, which has surprised everyone. When we compare across all venues, this has had the most bounce, which is unusual. Usually, red-soil pitches like Mumbai give you the most bounce. I think, will be back to usual SSC conditions. They won’t need to worry about what happened in the previous game, with batters getting out to shorter balls or the extra bounce. They reached out and tried to take the ball on the front foot, thinking it would bounce around waist height, but they committed far too much. Pull back a little, pick the length. Same amount of grass - three millimetres on offer. Nicely rolled in, and hence it looks a lot better. It’s back to usual batting conditions. You’ll hit through the line, more runs on offer. Batting first or batting second really doesn’t matter. It comes down to what you do out here. I’d say 175 if you bat first - it comes on nicely for the batsman," Russel Arnold, Ramiz Raja said at toss.
