Dubai:

India chased down 139 against Sri Lanka in the first semi-final of the ongoing Under-19 Asia Cup 2025 as India made it to the final of the tournament. The Indian bowlers did a good job of restricting the Lankan side for a sub-par total in the rain-hit game at the ICC Academy in Dubai. The batters played a strong hand with Aaron George and Vihaan Malhotra slamming strong half-centuries as India won the clash with eight wickets in hand and 12 balls to go. It is worth noting that the Men in Blue are yet to lose a game in the tournament.

    Chouhan has two in the over now as he removes Kithma Withanapathirana. He hit a brilliant slog sweep six earlier in the over and has now been dismissed on the same shot as he does not connect this well. The deep mid-wicket holds this one and Sri Lanka have now lost half of their side.

    Sri Lanka have laboured past 50 in this innings. They have got to their fifty in 8.1 overs for the loss of three wickets. India on top as SL need to score big runs, considering this is a 20-over per-side game.

    And Deepesh Devendran has struck too. He is India's chief destructor and he strikes once again. Deepesh removes the other opener in Viran Chamuditha now. A short of a length as the batter looked to pull it but got a top edge on it. Easy takings for Kishan Kumar Singh as Sri Lanka lose their second.
