IND vs SA 2nd Test Live Score: Keshav Maharaj finishes off India's innings, South Africa win by 408 runs

India have suffered their heaviest Test defeat in terms of number of runs as South Africa have bowled out the hosts for just 140 in their second innings and won the Test match by 408 runs. South Africa swept India 2-0 and moved up a place on the points table.

South Africa has done it! They defeat team India in the second Test and clinch the series 2-0. A historic moment for South Africa cricket here, the WTC champions mean business and show no signs of slowing down as they register a 408-run victory.

Ravindra Jadeja departs on a score of 54 runs, South Africa on the brink of a historic win. India now 140-9.

Nitish Kumar Reddy with the most cheap dismissal! Attempting to reverse sweep the ball, Reddy hands the ball to the wicket keeper, Simon Harmer takes yet another wicket. India now 138-8. 

Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar are standing strong at the crase. After 59.1 overs, the score reads 121-6. Washington on a score of 12 runs with Jadeja on 41, approaching his half century. 

Senuran Muthusamy has opened his account, getting the set Sai Sudharsan. Sudharsan played 139 balls but never looked like he was settled. He was dismissed on a no-ball for four and gave a couple of more chances before finally being plucked out by Muthusamy.

The play has resumed and India will hope that the pair of Sai Sudharsan and Ravindra Jadeja takes the hosts forward in the post-tea session. South Africa are just five wickets away from a famous win and India will have to grind it out, if they have to play out a draw in Guwahati.

Sai Sudharsan is standing strong on the crease. After 129 deliveries, the batter is on a score of 14 runs. India is still five wickets down on a score of 86 runs.

Team India have gotten off to the worst of starts to day 5. The side has lost the wickets of Kuldeep Yadav and Dhruv Jurel. The score reads 42-4, South Africa needs 6 wickets to win.

We don't really see many fifth days in Tests in India and when we do, they are the most challenging days of that particular game, if the match has lasted that long. The ball started turning on Day 4 and there were evident footmarks and rough was created for Simon Harmer. That will only get worse on Day 5. The bounce will get more variable and the turn will only get sharper, making life difficult for the batters. Can India defy all of it?
