Vaibhav Suryavanshi brings up his 150 with a six, his 13 in the innings as India have crossed 200. India are putting up some show here with the bat. They are at 229/2 after 24 overs.

What is Suryavanshi doing here? He is putting up some show with the bat and is not stopping despite his ton. He is now in his 140s after slamming more boundaries in the last couple of overs.

Ayush Mhatre falls as India lose their second. End of a brilliant 142-run partnership for the second wicket. Mhatre has been caught by Ben Mayes as Green gets his second.

This is some batting by the Indian sensation as he is going all guns blazing now. He hits 22 runs off Ahmed with three sixes a four. He is now in his 90s.

Suryavanshi is not in a mood to stop today, it seems and he is taking the attack to the bowlers. He hits a couple of sixes off Farhan Ahmed and enters his 70s. Is a hundred loading today?

India get to their team fifty in the 14th over. This has been a brilliant approach by these two as they took the attack to the change-up bowlers in the powerplay and then are dealing in singles and doubles ever since the powerplay concluded. India get to their 100 in 13.2 overs.

Suryavanshi gets to his fifty with a six over long-off. A 32-ball fifty for the opener as he raises his bat for a half-ton for the fourth time in this tournament. He has not hit a hundred in the World Cup. Can he do it today?

Suryavanshi takes the charge as he slams brilliant boundaries in the ninth over. He hits James Minto for 18 runs with three fours and a six. The six was hoicked over mid-wicket, the first four was cut in the air, the second was slammed towards mid-wicket and the third four was punched towards cover. The change-up bowlers have been punished by George and Suryavanshi. India 71/1 after 9.

Mhatre is now taking on the English bowlers. He took 11 balls to get off the mark but is now on 18 from 14 deliveries. He raced of the blocks with a four and then hit another two back-to-back fours before a brilliant pull for a six. India take 15 runs from Manny Lumsden's first over as India are at 53/1 after 8.

In case you don't know, Ayush Mhatre is another rising Mumbai batter and the captain of this U19 World Cup side. He is looking to join the likes of Virat Kohli, Prithvi Shaw and Unmukt Chand to win a U19 World Cup. Mhatre is a Chennai Super Kings player and impressed in the previous season for the five-time champion. 

Suryavanshi cuts loose and hits the first six of the innings. This was a shorter one from Green as Suryavanshi flexed his arms and cut it over backward point for a maximum. He holds the key here and it would be interesting how he go around now with India having lost a wicket early.

India lose their centurion from the last match as Aaron George has been caught at covers. This was fuller as he went for the drive and hit it aerially to the fielder. First one down.

And now Suryavanshi hits a couple of fours as he looks to race off the blocks quickly. The first one was a drive through the covers in the second over of Alex Green, before a whip to fine leg on a leg-stump ball. India dealing in boundaries and are at 14/0 after 3.

"The weather - a high of 28, a low of 16, and humidity is up to 75% with a little bit of a breeze. Let's have a look at the outfield as well. It has been superb in terms of getting it out the middle of the bat. You beat the 30-yard circle, it just runs away. You save your legs here if you're a fielder. The other aspect, once you get it (the ball) up in the air, altitude takes over 1,500 metres above sea level here, so you get it out the middle of the bat and it flies. It doesn't matter how big the ground is," informs Ed Rainsford. "Beautiful blue sky, sunshine, the odd little cloud. But looking down at this pitch, as a batsman, you'd want to get on here today. The only thing I'd say, in the first half hour, there might be a little bit of movement. There's a little more moisture in this pitch than there was on the semifinal pitch that played so flat throughout the day. the mind is all important in your chances of success. The conditions, you have to factor in the opposition, you have to factor in. But the toss, not so much so. If I was a coach talking to the players, I'd say, don't worry about the toss. Whichever way we go, you play aggressive cricket, we'll be fine," said Andy Flower in his pitch report.

India captain Ayush Mhatre has won the toss, and he has decided that India will be batting first today. In a big game, batting first is always the sensible option. Put a big score on the board with this pitch expected to be a belter and put the opposition under pressure.

This final is a rematch of the 2022 title clash, when the Yash Dhull-led Indian team had defeated England in the final. England have made it to the final only for the third time and their last U19 World Cup win came way back in 1998. That is some wait time that they are up against. 

It's all on the line now. This is where dreams fly off to the next level. This is where legends are born. A U19 World Cup is not the destination but an audition for the cricketers to turn pro and graduate into their senior sides. Remember the likes of Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja? They were all U19 World Cup winners and transcended into the hearts of all to become legends. This is where it all begins.
