New Delhi, Sept 12: The Shiv Sena-BJP coalition in Maharashtra is set to score a whopping two-third majority in the forthcoming Maharashtra assembly election, according to India TV-C-Voter tracking  poll.

According to the tracking poll, in Haryana, the BJP, which is contesting assembly election on its own, may fall nine seats short of a clear majority.

In Haryana, the India TV-CVoter tracking poll projects BJP to win 37 out of a total of 90 assembly seats, nine short of a clear majority. The Indian National Lok Dal is projected to win 22 seats, while the ruling Congress party, in power for the last 10 years, is going to bite the dust and may win  in 19 seats.

The opinion poll projects six seats each for Haryana Janhit Congress and 'Others'.

In the 2009 assembly elections, the Congress had won 40, INLD 31, BJP 4, HJC 6, and 'Others' 9 seats.

In Maharashtra, the India TV-C-Voter tracking poll projects the NDA called 'Mahayuti' (Grand Alliance) consisting of Shiv Sena, BJP, RPI(Athawale), Swabhimani Paksha and Rashtriya Samaj Paksha, is projected to score a whopping two-third majority of 206 out of a total of 288 assembly seats, roughly 72 pc of the total seats.

The Congress-Nationalist Congress Party is projected to win 59 seats, and 'Others' 23.

In the 2009 Assembly elections, the Congress-NCP had won 144 out of a total of 288 seats, with NDA winning 90 and 'Others' 54 seats.

The tracking poll was done in the first week of September on the basis of opinion poll among 2700+ respondents across all assembly constituencies in Maharashtra, while in Haryana it was conducted during the same period among 2218+ respondents across all assembly seats.

Voteshare projected in Haryana: BJP 33 pc, Congress 28 pc, INLD 26 pc, HJC 6 pc and Others 7 pc.

Voteshare projected in Maharashtra: NDA 45 pc, Congress-NCP 34 pc, and Others 21 pc.
