Chennai: AIADMK general secretary and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa Saturday expelled N. Chinnadurai, one of its four candidates for the Feb 7 Rajya Sabha polls, for anti-party activities.
In a statement issued here, Jayalalithaa said Chinnadurai had been expelled for his actions that went against the party's policies and vision.
Consequently, A.K. Selvaraj was nominated the AIADMK candidate in Chinnadurai's place.
The other three poll candidates are S. Muthukaruppan, L. Sasikala Pushpa and Vijila Sathyanand.
