The wildfires in Los Angeles have devastated more than 1,000 structures, which mostly include homes. Almost 13,000 people are under evacuation orders in the metropolitan area.

Images of devastation engulf the areas as luxurious homes are seen collapsing in a whirlwind of flaming embers. Even swimming pools were blackened with soot, while sports cars slumped on melted tires.

Notably, Southern California has not seen more than 0.1 inches (0.25 centimeters) of rain since early May, which means the area faces extremely hot conditions, which is taking a toll on firefighting attempts.
