Shubman Gill finished as the leading run-scorer in the Asia Cup 2023. The youngster led from the front as India beat Sri Lanka to win the continental tournament. Gill made 302 runs in six matches at an average of 75.50.

Meanwhile, star batter Virat Kohli finished as the leading run-scorer for India, amassing 276 runs in five matches at a strike rate of 147.59. Overall, he finished second, behind Mohammad Rizwan.

Shikhar Dhawan finished as the leading run-scorer in the 2018 edition of the Asia Cup. The southpaw amassed 342 runs in five matches at an average of 68.40. Courtesy of his and Rohit Sharma's brilliance, India won the tournament, beating Bangladesh by three wickets in the final.

Former India captain Virat Kohli finished as India's leading run-scorer in the 2016 Asia Cup, which was the first edition of the T20 version of the tournament. Overall, Kohli finished as the fourth-leading run-scorer, scoring 153 runs in five matches at a strike rate of 110.86. Meanwhile, India beat Bangladesh by eight wickets to clinch the continental cup.

They were knocked out of the Super 4, as Sri Lanka went on to clinch the trophy, beating Pakistan in the final. Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan finished as India's leading run-scorer, amassing 192 runs in four matches.
