The public meeting holds significance given the fact that Sitamarhi is RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's stronghold. The event was held as part of Jan Suraaj's Bihar Badlav Yatra.

Prashant Kishor is currently on a Bihar Badlav Yatra. As part of this, he reached the Riga block of Sitamarhi. There, he held a public meeting and strongly criticised the BJP, RJD, Congress, and JDU.

While addressing the gathering, Prashant Kishor said that his grandfather used to drive a bullock cart, and he himself studied at a government school before reaching this position. "Over the past 10-15 years, whichever party I advised ended up winning and coming to power. But I have now left that work. In elections, the one who wins becomes the king and flies away in a helicopter, while your children remain where they were," he said.

The public event meeting saw major attendance from women despite a shutdown called by the INDIA bloc in Bihar. It also came on a day when Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD's Tejashwi Yadav held a rally in Patna.

Speaking to the crowd, Prashant Kishor said, "Earlier, you supported the Congress for 40-45 years. Then, for 15 years, you made the poor man's son, Lalu Yadav, the Chief Minister. For the last 20 years, Nitish Kumar has been the CM. In the Lok Sabha election, you voted for PM Modi and made him win. But the future of Bihar's children has not improved."

He said that around 50 lakh youths from Bihar are working as labourers across the country. "Everyone should vote in the name of their children. Vote for your children’s education and employment," he urged.

The Jan Suraaj Party leader said, "If you vote in the name of temples and mosques, how will you see development? If you vote for four kilos of grain, how will your children get employment? And if you vote based on caste, how will your children receive a good education?"
