An Indonesia plane skidded off a runway and snapped in two on Tuesday but miraculously all the 100 passengers survived, reports Daily Mail, London.

About 20 people were left with broken limbs and head injuries as the Boeing 737 hurtled 200 yards through trees after landing. Its cockpit almost completely separated from the fuselage.

Passenger Zainal Hayat, 52 - who was treated in hospital for facial injuries - crawled out through a crack in the jet.  He said: "The plane touched down, but it just didn't stop. It skidded very fast and I felt it hit something twice before it stopped and tumbled down. All the passengers were in a total panic. Some screamed and cried."

The plane - carrying 103 passengers including six children and six crew - was flying 210 miles from Sorong to Manokwari in West Papua, Indonesia.

Merpati airline bosses blamed heavy rain and fog for the crash.

The firm's corporate secretary, who gave his name as Sukandi, said: "It was raining when the plane landed. The pilots followed all the safety procedures regarding landing in wet conditions."
