Thiruvananthapuram victory signals BJP's historic rise, says PM Modi in Kerala | HIGHLIGHTS

If BJP forms government in Kerala, Sabarimala gold loss will be examined, culprits will be jailed; this is Modi's guarantee, said Prime Minister.

At a BJP rally, PM Modi said, "The upcoming elections will be the ones to change the condition and direction of Kerala. When it comes to the future of Kerala, you have seen just two sides so far. On one side, there is LDF, and on the other side, there is UDF. Both of these have destroyed Kerala one after the other. But there is a third side too, that side is of development, of good governance, of BJP-NDA. People of LDF and UDF have pushed Kerala into corruption, misgovernance and dangerous politics of appeasement."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing an energized BJP-NDA rally, highlighted a surging wave of optimism and change sweeping Kerala. He drew parallels to BJP's breakthrough in Gujarat, noting Thiruvananthapuram's recent corporation election win as the launchpad for statewide trust.

PM Modi said, "Thiruvananthapuram reflects the aspirations of a changing Kerala. The verdict in the recent corporation elections signals a shift in public mood across the state."

This was PM Modi's first visit after the BJP won Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, ending over four decades of Left rule, the party has also planned a massive road show from the Thampanoor overbridge to the Putharikandam Maidan where the Prime Minister will address around 25,000 workers who are expected to be gathered there to greet him.

PM Modi also disbursed loan amounts and credit cards to several beneficiaries under the PM SVANidhi scheme. He said that the scheme was aimed at the welfare of the poor across Kerala and the nation. Besides these, he laid the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art Radiosurgery Centre at the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology in the city and inaugurated the new Poojappura Head Post Office. Modi congratulated the people of Kerala and the entire nation for these significant developmental achievements. He said that in order to build a 'Viksit Bharat', the entire nation was working together.

These include the Nagercoil-Mangaluru Amrit Bharat Express, Thiruvananthapuram-Tambaram Amrit Bharat Express, Thiruvananthapuram-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express, and a new passenger train between Thrissur and Guruvayur.

At a programme in Thiruvananthapuram, PM Narendra Modi said, "Today, Centre's efforts towards the development of Kerala have received a new impetus. Starting today, Kerala's rail connectivity has been further strengthened. To make Thiruvananthapuram a major startup hub of the country, significant efforts have been made. From Kerala, an initiative has been initiated for the welfare of the poor across the country. Today, PM SVANidhi Credit Card has been launched. This will benefit street vendors, street carts and footpath hawkers across the country...".

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was felicitated during a special event in Thiruvananthapuram that marked the foundation stone laying, inauguration, and launch of multiple developmental projects. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar were also present at the ceremony, which highlighted the Centre's continued focus on boosting infrastructure in the state. The Prime Minister is set to flag off four new train services, including three Amrit Bharat Express routes and one passenger service. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Kerala on Friday to launch various developmental projects and flag off new train services in the poll-bound state, with the BJP planning a grand welcome, including a massive road show, for him. The PM landed at the airport here at around 10.25 am, airport sources said. He was received by Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and other dignitaries.
