India Impact AI Summit LIVE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is speaking at the event after a keynote address by French President Emmanuel Macron on Day 4 of the summit.

Day 4 of the AI Impact Summit in India featured a high-profile lineup of speakers on Thursday, February 19. Among those scheduled are the Chief Executive Officer of OpenAI, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, Sam Altman, and Rishad Premji, Executive Chairman of Wipro.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his address at the gathering, calling it a moment of pride for the Global South. His address came after French President Emmanuel Macron, who lauded India's achievements in the artificial intelligence domain.
The world’s largest artificial intelligence summit, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 16 in New Delhi, has drawn extensive global participation.
The event has brought together more than 500 AI leaders, including chief executive officers and chief experience officers, around 100 founders and chief executives, 150 academicians and researchers, and nearly 400 chief technology officers, vice presidents and philanthropists from across the world.

AI must be democratised: PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India’s approach to artificial intelligence is reflected in the theme of the summit, which focuses on welfare for all and happiness for all. He described this as the country’s benchmark in shaping AI policy and development.
He emphasised that in the age of AI, humans must not be reduced to mere data points or treated as raw material. Instead, technology should serve people and enhance their capabilities.
According to him, artificial intelligence must be democratised and made a tool for inclusion and empowerment, particularly for countries in the Global South.

Global leaders to participate in Day 4 of AI Summit
Several world leaders who arrived in India earlier this week are expected to attend Thursday’s sessions. Among them are President Emmanuel Macron, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, and Netherlands Prime Minister Dick Schoof.
The Prime Minister’s Office said the Leaders’ Plenary is scheduled for around 12 noon. The session will bring together heads of state, ministers and senior representatives from multilateral institutions to discuss national and global priorities on artificial intelligence, including governance frameworks, infrastructure development and international cooperation.
