A 15 year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man in Ahladpur village under Sarai Akil police station area in Kaushambhi district of Uttar Praesh, police said on Thursday.
The victim, a student of class 8, had gone out to attend to nature's call on Tuesday night when a man from her village, Sunil Yadav, dragged her into a nearby field and raped her, Circle Officer Rajkumar Tripathi said.
An FIR was filed by the victim's father and the accused was arrested, the CO said, adding the girl was sent for medical examination.
