Two crude bombs found near Mumbai Central railway station during excavation work

As soon as the authorities were informed about the explosives, they summoned the bomb disposal quad. While one bomb exploded at the site during the excavation, the second bomb was defused.

Two homemade bombs were found during excavation work for metro near Indian Railways’ Mumbai Central station this evening. 

As soon as the authorities were informed about the explosives, they summoned the bomb disposal quad. While one bomb exploded at the site during the excavation, the second bomb was defused. 

Police said that bombs were around 2 meter beneath the Earth’s surface. 

The site is fully secured now. Seized explosives have been sent to a forensic laboratory.
