The Jammu and Kashmir Police has released the posters of three terrorists (from LeT& Hizbul Mujahideen), involved in the killing of Army officer Lt. Ummer Fayaz, in Shopian.

The bullet-riddled body of 23-year-old Lieutenant Ummer Fayaz from Kashmir was found in Harmen area of Shopian on Wednesday morning, hours after he was abducted by militants from Batpura village.

Six militants from the terror outfits of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Hizbul Mujahideen, who were involved in the killing have been identified and a massive manhunt has been launched to catch them, defence sources said today.

Hailing from Kulgam district, Fayaz was commissioned in the Army in December last year. The Army has vowed "to bring the perpetrators of this heinous act of terror to justice".

Calling the attack a "dastardly act of cowardice" by militants, Defence Minister Arun Jaitley had said Fayaz's sacrifice reiterates the nation's commitment to eliminate terrorism from the valley.

The Army has vowed retribution for the brutal killing of its soldier.
